What kind of maintenance does your fuck server need?

And don't forget scaling! Scaling is hard!

There are too many casual programmers writing bad code and too many casual server administrators running insecure servers. If you're going to do one of these things, be serious about it and do it well. I also think it's extremely naive to suggest that server administration is in some way "easier" than programming.

+1 Just got a set of these bad boys myself, and they're great. I had an Onkyo set that I loved, but they were just too big for my new apartment. They're also the current pick over at The Wirecutter for a "good surround system" http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/a-good…

Very interesting perspective! Thank you so much for that! And I'm really sorry that you feel that way sometimes. No one should ever make you feel like you're different or somehow inferior because of your faith or upbringing!

I'm going to be honest, your Christmas sounds better than mine! :)

    Thank you!

Having read through most of the responses, I think you're right that those who take offense are the ones who are looking to take offense to something.

Happy to hear that! Thank you!

An interesting point of view - thank you for that.

I'm not sure that it's invented (anymore). Regardless of whatever precipitated the initial halting of saying "Merry Christmas", it is certainly said less frequently now, which makes it seem less and less appropriate with every year that people say "Happy Holidays". Here in NYC, most people stick to Happy Holidays.

LOL That's an interesting point. People have suggested that I do that before when I've asked them what I should do - but I thought that was ridiculous. Then you're really highlighting the incident moreso than had you just wished them a Merry Christmas even if they didn't celebrate it.

Kind of on this topic: To those who don't celebrate Christmas, are you offended if someone accidentally wishes you a Merry Christmas? And if so, how would you prefer that people find out if you celebrate the holiday or not?

Not one of your articles has any relevance to Amazon.

Tell me more about how amazon forces people to work for them.

Illegal was a poor choice of words, as omnichad mentioned, it is in violation of their agreements with the CC companies and they will most likely be subject to all sorts of fines and exposed to liability for blatantly ignoring PCI standards.

    And illegal to store!

I think your rent check is enough :)

I really wish I could make this! Have fun!

Thanks man! I'm touched that you responded at length to my comment, and that it wasn't interpreted as negative (I explained my position in greater detail in response to other comments - but I was not trying to be negative at all). Seeing the phrase "don't care" can sound like a negative thing, but I really meant it
