Are you high? You kind of have this backwards. For most people, the tablet superseded the laptop a long time ago. Unless you actually have to work on it, there’s very little reason to use a laptop for any other purpose. Remember netbooks? Yeah...killed by the tablet, I wonder why.
I find it much more comfortable to get out my tablet during a long flight - even though its over 6 to 7 years old, the occasional flight has left the battery still good for 5 to 6 hours (and recently i got a 10,000mah battery pack)
