Not a single recipient from the yogurt beat.

That’s “well” writerer.

Well Hamilton, you’re not a long-form journalist now, are you? I think this explains why you did not win.

+1 dugout

Awww....can’t someone at Deadspin get this guy a good writerer award?

They should honor the original spirit of the award and all recipients should come up with an innovative way to re-take The Philippines.

Yeah I pressured my ex to propose, and he did, and then he told me he felt pressured and wouldn’t have done it, and then we planned one wedding, postponed it, had an engagement party in the midst of terrible fights, planned another wedding, postponed it, and then ultimately broke up. Don’t get me wrong, that wasn’t

Sex neg Jez writer meets guy with self esteem issues. Of course he’ll do whatever she wants. I give it no more than 5 years before she gets bored and bails.

“I averted the eyes of the waiter as he set my plate of eggs down in front of me.”

Congrats. A guy is entering a marriage he doesn’t want because you let your baggage trip you up. Ironically, you are more likely to lose him now than before if he ever resents you for it. I also don’t have a lot of faith in your vision for this relationship.

I feel the same way about this. Him placating her with a proposal after perhaps a few nights of feeling as though she was going to bail on the relationship doesn’t make for a good marriage. Proposals should be based on a mutual desire to be married, not because one party starts stomping their feet about it.

Possible that he just doesn’t want to get married and loves you, and your life together - just as much?

I can totally relate to him, btw. Been married twice - will never do it again. Also I’m with a lady that I’ll more-than-likely die with due to old-age, but have no - as in ZERO - intentions of ever marrying her. We

I have mixed views on this. On one hand, it sounds great you are getting what you wanted. On the other, it sucks that this means he has to do something he doesn’t want, and I can’t think of a many relationships that work out when one partner feels forced to do something to stay in the relationship.

Hindsight being 20/20, if I were a memeber of Team USA, I’d have taken a knee during the anthem simply so I’d have a principled reason not to take part in this hockey abortion.

Quick was certainly the 3rd best goalie on the USA roster (not the 3rd best American goalie), and I think Schneider is one of the best tenders in the world, but in fairness to those who chose Quick to start, he has always been a very solid big game goalie. He has played great in tournaments previously, and I think

And then he got an NHL job! The U.S. could’ve had one of the good coaches all along!

Torts is I guess the best option for an American coach, but has been on such a downslide ever since he got the boot from the Rangers.

Jokes on you Josh Pauls! Coach Tortorella would have benched you for not standing for the National Anthem.

It never mattered if they win or lost, as long as they stood for the Anthem. Good job, guys!

No offense, Samer, but yours is not the voice we want to hear on this topic.
