I’m so sick and tired of all the armchair experts going on and on about how the Nissan driver “deserved it.” He was a teenager. Teenagers are not known for great decisions or knowing what to do on the road. Should he have moved over? Yes. But again - teens are not known for being the best drivers in the world.

So if I’m going 60mph on a 55mph highway in the RIGHT lane, and the LEFT lane is completely empty... but some fucker still comes up and tailgates me in the right lane.... what am I doing to create the situation, exactly?

If you really believe it’s impossible to be tailgated on a multilane road, you have clearly you never been to Pennsylvania. I’ve had people in SUVs tailgate me as I’m toodling down the left lane of an empty multi-lane highway at 60mph. GO AROUND PEOPLE.
