He’s referring to this:

He’s likely referring to recent MS-13 killings on Long Island. He’s scheduled to make an appearance there to talk about crackdowns.

Compliance!

Wear whatever religious garment you want, just show your face. I’m vehemently against the burkini bans, but for banning face veils.

No one wants to walk around surrounded by people hiding their identities. It goes beyond religion. You’re part of society, show your face.

I’m fine with religious attire, but no one should be going around in public with their face covered unless it’s Halloween or -20 degrees out.

These days I usually only hear it in the context of impersonal interactions anyway, like vending machines. “Cheated” and “swindled” tend to imply deliberate action on the part of a person and so wouldn’t really fit.

We should work on media ownership regulations before this type of micromanagement. I’ll take the dullard husband trope if they can prevent a few old billionaires from dictating large scale media bias across TV, radio and print.

This stuff is always very up it’s own ass, end ends up doing a disservice to any legitimate issues it tries to raise.

You or I would not be allowed to carry a large object like

I can say with conviction that no one is going to carry a 50 pound mattress and subject themselves to the level of scrutiny this young woman has received unless they’ve been victimized.

but it’s really difficult to see why a complainant would make something like that up and see it through the system

Yea this is an attempt at normalizing. Soon the GOP cavalcade will chime in across the media with how this is perfectly OK this all is. The goal is to get the populace to accept it, which then removes the pressure on congress to do anything about it.

Just plop it on a keyboard and we’ll have our next thinkpiece

“Consequences”? For what exactly? A game’s aesthetic you don’t approve of?

It is the height of maturity to recognize we all have attractions and can enjoy seeing them reflected in creative content.

The Root? That blog where every article and every comment is about those awful “wypipo” and white women specifically are referred to exclusively as “Becky”?

Sargon needs to grow up and lose the fedora, but this is a pretty accurate portrayal of what Sarkeesian has spun into a career:
