Correctomundo. What people don't realize about these dutch bikes are they're meant to be used and abused for decades meaning they're heavy beasts. These are certainly not ideal for US cities with high theft rates, meaning all of them.

To bad those quoc pham Tourer models are ruined by the thick soles required by the recessed cleats. Wish they were more streamlined like the Fixed models.

Actually the ones I bought are pretty much black and don't especially look like sports shoes with dress slacks on. The DZRs in the original post will definitely be noticed by other office drones.

There is a stiff-ish plastic insert in the ball area where the cleats mount and are stiff in that sense, but yes, they flex like any other sneaker otherwise. Very cool. Style is subjective, but you'll see just how different something like that DZR will be compared to the Specialized Tahoe Sport (and going even further, compared to a super stiff race shoe). The Tahoes run a little small/narrow, so order a half size larger. DZR should be true to size.

Nah, but I hang around them enough that they should put me on payroll! I'm big into utility/urban cycling and race on the weekends (not so much this year due to time) so I can give you an honest first hand user experience opinion of a lot of products.

There have been similar offerings from Chrome and DZR for a while (and probably a few others). Same stiff plastic shank design.
