When did sex become so complicated? If an intoxicated female says "yes" it no longer meets the requirements per "an affirmative, conscious and voluntary agreement." That can be a great source of power against predators, but it is also a very scary loophole for innocent men. I know, I know; there are no innocent men.

Economically, my view is that if there is actually some level of pay above which demand will decline, pay won't tend to stay at that excessive level, even in absence of a cap. Firms pay talent reluctantly; if schools pay, it will be because they believe the revenue benefits of having that athlete on the team exceed

This is a shame. I'm not a huge college basketball fan or college football fan, but I follow sports like track, golf, wrestling and softball to some extent and these programs will all suffer because of this. Temple has already cut some of their programs, same with Robert Morris, West Virginia and Maryland. These

congratulations, Dan Gilbert, you have assembled a superteam comprising a free agent with whom you probably colluded

This is a very neat visualization. I guess Kershaw would want to keep the ball middle and tight.

Good thing David Wilson dropped out of college to play football. Now he will be a college dropout whose only skills are an above average ability to carry a football across a field. Hopefully he can figure out a career after football so he doesn't become one of the countless poor NFL players.

My brother went to school at Virginia Tech, so my only experience with driving in Virginia has been the 200 miles of route 80 that I traversed maybe twice a semester. The speed limit is 70 mph for 80% of the drive, but you can count on a cop every other mile on that road. I would NEVER dare to speed there. I was

Hunter Pence hands out shitty candy on Halloween.

I have no problem with this.

An all female Ghostbusters would suck.

Why are people offended by this? It's great to see people of faith offer incentive to others of faith without pushing it onto people.

Man, the NFL shouldn't have provoked the media like this. It's as if they were really asking for a beating. I think the leagues in general will provoke a media outlet to hit them hard with criticism and bad press. This kind of behavior will only stop if the leagues put in a genuine effort to not get their ass

I'm also surprised the Mets didn't make any moves. I spoke to Sandy Alderson in Cooperstown last week about the deadline. I asked if he was going to reach out for any new bats. His reply, "I'm not too worried about bats, I can buy plenty of bats. It's the hitters that are hard to come by." I'm not a Mets fan by

In the defense of Goodell, the punishment is in line with similar circumstances over the years. As the article discusses, Ben "I'll Rape You" Roethlisberger was given a 4 game suspension for a raping a college student! Without a conviction of a crime and with the wife's plea for leniency, I would have guessed a 4

Billy Beane is a fucking genius.

This idea sucks, but in his defense, something should be done about all of the criminals that enter the league.

I'm happy to have any new chapter in Rays-Red Sox, baseball's best and most authentic rivalry.

I've been hit by a woman twice; once, I rightfully deserved it and the other time, I most certainly did not. The first instance, I was frustrated and said some very hurtful things to a girl I went to school - She promptly slapped me across the face. I deserved it. But! If the tables were turned and she said the same

Can't anyone provoke their own beating?

I believe men and women have the same responsibilities when it comes to provoking violence. As a man, I have the responsibility to not provoke another man (or woman) to lash out at me. Just because I'm a man does not make me exempt from violent repercussions. For women I would assume the same holds true.
