I have a B.A. in English and am an ASE Master Tech. I don’t think you want me.
I have been on the edge of tears since waking up Saturday and reading the news. This certainly hasn’t made it easier. But thank you for collecting and writing it.
S.3 XK-E, for non-HE cars. Make sure it’s not rusted out, and do the ignition upgrades.
All the 5.3 HE cars are pretty good. My pick would be a S.3 XJ12.
The sad thing is that the 6.0 is the best V12, without question, but the cars it was installed in are not the greatest. If you must have a 6.0 car, spend the coin for…
My wife and I went to bed early last night, because we are in our 40s with a three-year-old. And woke up to this.
I didn’t want to believe it. I still don’t.
All of us have personal tales of loss from this year; what is incredibly painful is how personal this loss is for us who didn’t know him. Rest in power.
This is insane CP.
Missing glass, for pity’s sake. And they still want mid 4 figures? Screw that.
I have dog-eared Haynes manuals for French cars I no longer own.
You’re supposed to ride in the back, not the kids. They’re in a totally separate vehicle with the nannies.
Love the Rolls original, I expect I’d like this even more (assuming it keeps the ride quality of the original car). I expect the Cloud conversions will be slightly more practical, as they are a bit better sized for everyday use. Sadly, I am not and probably never will be in the income bracket to purchase one.
As you can see, it’s not just dry rot; there are also some structural issues with the tires, as the front driver’s side sidewall is deformed in one spot.
This thing is awesome. And I would submit that the power vent windows are incredibly useful: who wants to have to crawl all the way to the back of the van to improve air flow?
Conditional NP, condition being I actually like these. This generation of Z was neither fish, nor fowl, nor good red meat. They weren’t bad cars, just not as focused as their competition. The Supra was quicker, the RX-7 cornered better, and the GTO/3000GT/Stealth had the 4wd “gee whiz” factor.
But comfortable, quiet,…
CP. This is a nice car, but the price is just too damn high.
You think $70 is expensive for a flashlight? That’s cute. The cheapest light sitting on my toolbox is $90-odd, and doesn’t include the $100+ battery. The cheapest one that comes with batteries is $130 or so.
If i can get a light as compact and bright as this appears to be for $70, I’m in. The only question then becomes…
CP. If you can’t be bothered to even hose it down to take pictures of it, what else can’t you be bothered to do?
I love these cars. Crack pipe.
The problem with late V12 cars is that they were essentially hand-built, and no two are the same. Parts that fit one car might not fit the next one made, but would fit the two after that.
I’m an ASE Master Tech who has been working on these cars for pretty much my entire professional…
My daily driver is 21 years old. And a Saab. I should buy a new car when this one works?
I’m sure you can get it in any colour you want.
Looks like a zoomed-in gun stock.
My wife and I are watching “Car S.O.S.” on Disney+, and seeing the blurb for the episode they did restoring a Renault 5 GT Turbo reminded me how much I liked Le Cars, despite not having seen one in at least five years or driven one in at least a decade.
