Yeah I don't get that consensus on S2 at all. It was bolder, weirder, funnier, more fascinating, and more original than S1 to my mind. Plus it fleshed out the supporting characters so much in really necessary ways, making Angela and Darlene as interesting and vital as Eliot. It was a season that took a show that had a

I think Win's name is actually Edwin, if that helps.

I don't know, in practice King miniseries adaptations have a far worse batting average than the film adaptations of his work. Though that's probably largely because most of them have been for networks. 11/22/63 is the only one that's been more than passable. Oh and I guess Salem's Lot counts as a short miniseries.

Between this and Winter's Tale, Akiva Goldsman seems to be on some kind of mission to completely gut rich, interesting, ambitious novels and transform them into the cheapest and most generic fantasy garbage possible.

It is kind of just the next episode to air when Comic Con happens to be held though. It wouldn't really make much sense to screen episode 13 or whatever, since no one would get what was going on.

Yeah people keep saying those effects were hokey and I have no idea what they're talking about. It's especially weird since they were used so sparingly.

Benioff has done plenty of good original stuff though. He adapted the great 25th Hour script from his own novel, and City of Thieves is a really acclaimed and enduringly popular novel.

David Benioff is surprisingly smoldering. Tall, dark, and handsome indeed.

Yeah if you want to start with the classic show, at least try some well regarded Jon Pertwee or Tom Baker specials. Most of the 1st Doctor stuff is rooooough and dated as hell. Even a lot of really hardcore fans aren't crazy about at least 70% of those episodes.

Did Matthew Fox really age that much in the course of 3-7 months?

"Aw man. How about some incestuous deformed cannibals? Maybe just one?"

"Looking for some NSA blowjobs, though it's totally just because I'm mad at my married friend for slutting it up! Hmu if you're into this particular brand of weirdo insecurity!"

Oh right, duh. I was misremembering how that all went down.

Clara traveled with two different doctors, but she wasn't actually there when he regenerated.

There have been relatively few companions that were the primary companions for multiple Doctors. Russell T. Davies and Moffat have each had one, and I feel like there were only 3 or 4 in the entirety of the original series run.

Really? He's been a rumored casting choice every time they've recast the role since Tennant left.

I never thought the sequels felt as funny, fresh, or endearingly strange as the first one. I don't know why everyone says they're so dark, when Syd's toys in the first one are by far the creepiest and most haunting part of the series.

He's also the guy behind the Toy Story series you know?

It's not like Dekker was ever big enough for coming out to have been unable to tank his career. Unless you're Tom Cruise or something, publicly coming out can still take your from "star" to a D lister pretty damn quickly.

I mean… yeah in large part. The past setting enabled it to be free of the shackles of the rest of the universe, and also didn't have to use the dumb set up for the character that BvS provided.
