I uploaded all my music onto Google Music from my laptop, and then I traded my laptop for a gaming PC, assuming that I could download all my music.

You can only download 100 songs at a time. I've been trying to recover my 5,000 songs from Google Music for quite some time. Oh well, just stick with Spotify I guess

Why can't PCs be that optimized?

iPad is far cheaper than my books were this semester. I'm in four classes and my grand total was around 650.00 dollars. I could find a nice used iPad first gen for about 250-300 on Craigslist.
