Isn’t that what The Batman did? There were like, three real fight scenes in the entire 3-hour movie. The rest of the time was just Batman/Bruce and Alfred solving puzzles.

Are you really disappointed that someone took the time to publish substantial ideas on a cultural phenomenon, instead of another hot take on the Kanye/Davidson feud?

There aren’t that many active superheroes of that are women in the Universe. So maybe, actually?

Kamala Khan is a Mary Sue to the exact extent Peter Parker is. Which is to say, she’s a relatable protagonist with a heart of gold who does dumb things and gets in trouble. I find her pretty great.

Calling a female character a Mary Sue in a comment section is such a red flag

Good thing there’s no other character’s in the MCU with glowy hand powers.

For this movie, he is right. He’s at a point in his life where billionaire playboy makes no sense.

This is Batman, Year 2. He's not going to have perfected these things.

I wonder if it chaps Snyder’s ass that Doom Patrol, Harley Quinn, and now Peacemaker are projects that are more for “grown ups” (to borrow his wording) than his DCEU films yet they embraced the absurdity and goofiness of comic books, often using it for comedic effect and (despite the later two shows’ hyper-violence)

I think the main issue is that for the first time we get (most) of the Justice League on screen since 2017 (not counting ZSJL) and it’s for an Aquaman is a fish fucker joke. Basically Peacemaker spends the entire series talking shit about the Justice League, and then they show up and passively take his insults.

Namor is rumoured to be in the next Black Panther, it’s totally possible they might seed him here.

But that’s totally Patrick Stewart

The trailer shows a version of Captain Marvel, probably one of the Rambeaus by the look of it.

Wynn, Lose or Draw

God, I hope so. Nearly everything set in Detroit treats it like Generic Large City and it’s always immediately obvious. Four Brothers wasn’t a terribly memorable movie, but it was damn sure filmed here.

Joe Pera Talks With You makes me happy for a great many reasons, but one is that you can tell it’s Michigan in every

Or Margo Martindale. Or any of the Crowes. Or Wynn Duffy.

All of the unnecessary tv sequels were worth it for this.

Because City Primeval is a hell of a read. I suppose it’s too much to hope for an adaptation of Tishomingo Blues.

God, I miss Justified. And can I say, for a guy who comes off as such a goof in interviews, Olyphant excels at playing seething rage.

More importantly, when did he abandon it?
