Booking.com doesn’t have any modification/cancellation procedures, those are all set up by the hotel, and if you ask for an exception it’s the hotel who makes the decision. Literally all Booking.com does is call the hotel, ask “Can Get off my... yawn cancel their reservation without paying the cancellation fee?” and

Did you take pictures or give Expedia any other kind of proof? Or did you call them from the hotel to give them a chance to work it out with the hotel staff on your behalf? Or did you just call them a week after you got home and tell them a story they had no way to verify, and expect them to just give you free money?

Did you call Priceline? Because I work for one of their sister companies and, though they aren’t legally responsible, they will refund you if anything isn’t correct.

The man purchased non-refundable tickets, then tried to get a refund on them. I’m not torn at all, and think he should go fuck himself for disputing the charge with his bank. Which isn’t “unclear, legal reasons”, by the way. He told his credit card that he had been defrauded, the credit card company agreed with their

“Women bearing children for the rich is what slaves and serfs had to do for masters,”

There’s a big difference between permadeath+save scumming vs no permadeath. With permadeath turned off, you’re free to just throw your guys at enemies without worrying about what happens to them as long as you win. You can do stupid things like ending your turn within range of a bunch of enemies because you don’t care

Right or wrong, emotional support animals aren’t recognized in the same way physical support animals are, and it’s not currently illegal to deny entry to them.

I don’t care what his motivations are, but he’s right that it’s literally impossible for newer stores to compete with Steam with the massive advantage they have set up, without doing something big like this. Steam’s been around for so long, and is so synonymous with online game stores by this point that other stores

I’m generally pro-union, but fuck the police and unions. They’re the reason why the police can get away with absolutely anything: They hold so much political power they’ve managed to negotiate near complete immunity for their members, even when they kill somebody with their stupidity.

But you do need to spend hundreds of dollars to get a whole bag of clubs. At least $200 for anything even kind of decent, upwards of thousands for the best.

Any place with high property taxes will pass them along as higher rents. Same with pretty much any other extra costs.

Nice. 2 decent games, an no indie trash.

I just went through my amazon history today, and apparently I’ve gone through 6 pounds of popcorn over the past 2 months. I use an airpop machine, so hopefully it’s not that unhealthy, but it was still surprising to see just how much of it I ate.

I assume this is some kind of copyright issue, where the use of the design on other items is a legal problem for Uniqlo.

Some of these just feel like QoL improvements that they could have kept, “Classic” or not.

$200 plus 2-3 years should be plenty to build a meta wild deck, especially with the free dust you got when Gen and Baku were retired early.

I feel like they missed an opportunity with the unlockable hero powers. None of them are that much stronger than the basic power, which means they’re still something you use once every few turns at most. There’s not a whole lot of difference between a run where I pick the freeze power or a run where I pick the basic

I wouldn’t call it “shady and manipulative.” It’s no different from when Steam offers store credit for purchasing things during their sales, just on a bigger scale.

The point of receipt checkers isn’t to stop theft, it’s to prevent honest mistakes, both from customers and the store. They aren’t even allowed to chase after a thief of physically prevent them from leaving, because that’s dangerous and could get them hurt. They’re paid minimum wage to make sure nobody double charged

That’s why I said “defacto”. Yes, theoretically a write in could still win, but realistically we both know they won’t. And it’s really nice when it’s a state we like removing a president we don’t from the ballot, but I can’t be the only one worried that other states will start removing presidents I like from their
