Yep, it’s the same story with Uber, GrubHub, WeWork and all those venture-inflated businesses that use billions of dollars of VC money to artificially prop up a failed business model for a few years before taking everyone down with them.

It’s my least favourite Wright thing BY FAR but somehow it’s his best reviewed.  I don’t get it.  There’s a few cool scenes but I felt nothing for any character.  Well except confusion in some cases.

Telling us nothing, but giving tone and style is something I wish 100% other trailers did.

One guess? The reviewer was watching an early screener that used a different character for that reveal... but the scene was edited later for the Jean Smart gag.

I read that scene as her thinking that he must have had a reason for only taking one sip and then leaving.

Yeah I had a moment of “was I wrong about Avatar?” But I don’t think I was wrong about Avatar.

I fucking hated Avatar at the time, so it’s a testament to the excellent writing in this column that I actually kinda want to rewatch it now.
