The Trump brand is Trump. He can’t separate himself. It’s his entire identity, so he’ll be wheeling and dealing the whole time and there’s bound to be something that reaches the tipping point.

I dunno. His need for approval and adoration is well documented. So they’ll blow smoke up his ass to get him to play ball, but at the same time they’ll need to keep him on a reasonably short leash.
Is it still Will Lyman? He’s the best!
I agree. Except I don’t think it will last four years. Trump has way too many non-Republican ideas/goals and eventually the Republican establishment will say enough-is-enough and pull the plug. Either that or he’ll get busted with some kind of conflict of interest or something else that can’t be ignored.
I probably would have gone for a manual too, but my leg would bump into the bottom of the steering wheel when trying to depress the clutch. So PDK was pretty much my only choice. It’s quick, for sure and really nice in city traffic, but I’m still getting used to shifting with my fingers.
I’m a Porsche owner and I think the blue is okay. Not for me, but okay. I also like the reds and yellows, but that’s a little more attention getting than I need. Mine is a more pedestrian dark blue metallic, which I like very much.
One time in high school, I was shooting photos for the yearbook on the sidelines. Kid from the other team jumps high, really high to catch a pass, our player charged at him, and took him out below the waist. The other kid went summersaulting/cartwheeling to the ground in a heap.
Wait! Where’s the pantyhose over the lens for a soft focus effect trick, I man hack?
There are a number of good tribute websites to the show. You should check them out.
I was gifted the first few seasons of Emergency! on DVD a number of years ago. I watched it religiously as a young kid. The pilot and the first few episodes are pretty rough -- primative tv making is the only way I can describe it. As the show went on they started to get the hang of it, and figured out how to inject…
There are so many great comments in here. I’m cutting and pasting like mad so I don’t forget them. And some good analysis, too.
For starters, the dossier exists. It’s not some rumor floating around. It’s a document that’s been shared at the highest levels of government. That makes it news-worthy.
It struck me looking at this list, I thought, “Maybe the guy wasn’t big into cars.” As if we could read a photography magazine and see an article - “Prince’s camera collection consisted of a Nikon Nikkormat FTN, Canon AE-1, a Nikon F3 and D90 and a vintage Kodak Brownie.” We’d be like “Yeah what a humble guy, he…
That happened to a commuter flight leaving Charlotte a bunch of years ago. Cargo was either improperly placed or broke loose. The newspaper story had transcribed the cockpit voice recorder, which picked up some of what the passengers said.
I was 32 and 34 when my kids were born. (I’m 50 now) Waited long enough to get ourselves established with careers, have fun as a couple. But now they are teens and can take care of themselves and also drive.
I understand that some people lift the wipers of the windshield so they don’t freeze on, but isn’t that kinda pointless? When you finally clear the car, you have to scrape all the snow and ice off it and defrost the windsheild anyway. And of the snow turns to sleet and freezing rain, your wiper blades are now coated…
I think you are spot-on. I’m not holding my breath that a wave of manufacturing jobs are coming back.
Nice looking car, although Lexus has *the most* HIDEOUS front-end “grill” of all time -- on each of their vehicles. They look like cow catchers on the front of old steam locomotives. What a design bomb.
Well said. I remember about 10 years ago there was a truck assembly plant in a rather rural part of my state. The company notified the state that the jobs would likely be “consolidated” to another plant for “efficiencies.” The real reason that wasn’t publicized? A large number of employees consistantly showed up for…
