Yes, right along with the deliberate distortions, completely made-up “facts,” outright lies.

Indeed. I think the desgin trends that were popular in the 50s and 60s produced some of the most beautiful cars ever. For example, the arched fenders of the above cars, Porsche 550, Ferrari 330 p4, etc. Love it.
I’ve always thought the 206 was a beautful shape. The 208 looks like a shark or something. Hard keeping track of all the different models. Whenever there are comments about other Ferrari models, I have to google them to remind myself which one we’re talking about.
I find his matter-of-fact, non-emotional statement a bit frightening. If he was ranting and raving, we’d say “Yeah, that guy’s nuts.” But he’s not ranting and raving. He states there is nothing wrong with him and he has no regrets. Damn, not a shred of self-preservation? Whoa.
You’re absolutely correct. The social conservatives have found a new way to try to punish and marginalize a group they do not like.
One of the reasons I stopped playing adult league hockey. There are always a couple of jerks on every team, either trying to relive their youth or that they are just jerks.
It most certainly is the fault of the companies. They will wring every last dollar out of the products cost so they can maintain their profit margins and executive compensation.
You can screen out all kinds of crazy with a phone call. The kind of crazy that won’t come across in a text.
I resolve to do more maintenance on my Daily Drivers. And drive my Cayman more often.
When you think about it, he lives in a world where he probably doesn’t need to read much. His lawyers read the agreements and deals and tell him what’s in it. He then tells them what to do. When he gets to the office, an assistant has gone through his mail. They tell him what’s in it. He tells them how to respond.
I’m willing to bet that he also has some kind of reading and/or writing issue/disorder. He proudly states he doesn’t like to read. I’ll bet it’s because he doesn’t do it very well. And he probably can’t write well either.... he can’t even speak in complete sentences. He probably can’t keep focused on a concept long…
always keep in mind that the vast majority of child molesters are family members, not strangers or people who work with children
Yes, I suppose it is. Hockey is the only sport I’ve played with retired pros.
I play in a private pick-up that includes several retired NHL players. It’s amazing how quickly they can accelerate, even compared to the guys who played in college. And then there are their stick handling and passing skills -- off the charts. Experiencing that up-close is a further illustration of just how good these…
Mostly-rural CNY checking in. Not many students drove. Very few had cars or had a family that had an extra one for them to drive. A few of the gear heads had cars. Mostly American. Lots of rust from the salted roads in the winter.
If he doesn’t play ball with the news media, they are going to shred him. Every editorial board in the country and he’ll get sucked into every last column.... midnight tweets about the unfair and dishonest media.
I’d agree with a few on this list and then disagree with some others. The internet radio that my teen daughters like is usually playing in the kichen. I find some of it fairly catchy pop music. We used to call it Contemporary Hits Radio. I don’t know what you kids call it.
Yep, I have a webcam in a window by my front door that captures the face of anyone approaching. Same with the back door. Of course my sweet German Shepherd is always ready to vociferously greet them at the door.
I’ve never quite understood the whole “too old” thing. Sure, racing is physically demanding, but it’s not like we’re talking about a substantial loss of brute strength or speed (running the 40,) for example.
My ex kept seeing the guy she was cheating with after we split. Evidently one day around the house, she called him my name and he lost his shit, stormed out of her house. I laughed that he was that thinned skinned and insecure.
