well, if it wasn’t rusty before, it is now.

It’s actually pretty hard to climb out of a river with banks that steep. Most trucks couldn’t do it. That being said, I don’t think a Wrangler would get washed downstream in this particular situation. One key difference between cars and trucks in rivers is cars sit so low the water hits their body, and thus exerts…
Yep, this right here was the first thing to pop into my mind. Would any other truck struggle? Of course. But Daddy Elon said this one could!
He SPECIFICALLY said it could serve briefly as a boat and ford river AND SEAS.
This is true, however what makes this newsworthy is that Elon Musk specifically said that the Cybertruck could ford rivers AND EVEN SEAS THAT ARENT TOO CHOPPY.
Seriously. That truck could make it to the other side, which means it could continue driving around, cutting people’s fingers off, crashing into crowds, the works.
Kinja doin’ some weird shit to your post, man.
You beat me to it. Well done!
Never ford the river. Wait for the ferry. Or if you’re in a real hurry, caulk it up and hope for the best.
That is true, but this thing was billed as a SUPER CAPABLE truck that could withstand the apocalypse if I am not mistaken.
With the error being attempting such a crossing in a stock vehicle 😂
Legitimately curious -- all things being equal (driver skill and all) does the weight of this beast handicap it as it likely chews up the riverbank as it tries to crawl its way out, or did the weight of this thing actually help it from being washed away in that pretty serious current? Like I could see a Wranger…
Much as I think that truck is an ugly turd (and not super competent offroad) this is clearly a driver error issue.
Kinda funny but that’s Azusa Canyon. Looks like the video poster spelled it wrong and everyone whos jumping on the video is following suit. :D
Was going to say the same thing, the Cybertruck IS dumb, but I would bet ANY stock off road version of a truck would have problems with that same crossing.
Everyone knows that you have to caulk the wagon first.
Submerging a giant battery in water, what could go wrong!?
Musk’s DeLorean
Schadenfreude: it is by far, the best emotion....
“Not great for a $100,000 truck that company boss Elon Musk claims can survive the apocalypse.”
