Yes, but I highly doubt almost 40,000 were built for competition only use and never driven on the street in a 2 year timeframe. Hence the, they knew these were going to be used in regular use vehicles

One of the biggest problems in our society is that “unless I need to do it for business purposes” is seen as a caveat to most ethical and legal situations. Businesses will have a code of ethics that they rigorously adhere to until it would lose them money. Laws will be broken because it’s more profitable to do so.
This words is written heres.
“How is that bad.”
Fascinating. Remarkable. Where did you get your PhD in environmental science and mechanical engineering? I would love to understand how all of the wrong things you’ve just said are correct actually.
What is probably happening is that these choads let their trucks idle too long or don’t drive enough on the highway and they’re getting too much build up in the catalysts. The controls aren’t unreliable, it’s the nut behind the wheel who can’t be bothered to follow the instructions in the big book in the glove box.
You’d get even better mileage if you didn’t drive a GD truck all over the damn place every day for no reason.
I don’t think federal law enforcement officials should be able to compel a private company to do law enforcement’s job.
So rather than put the “soot and contaminates into their engine” they put it in the air we breath. Yeah that’s great.
Well, let’s consult the DOJ’s press release:
I don’t care at all.
It seems like SEMA drags that nonsense up from the muck every couple of years and every moron on the planet immediately takes the bait and won’t shut up about it for the next month.
Seconded.
Right? I kept reading comments hoping to get to see one pointing this out.
It was right in the name.
Um, excuse you, how will they compensate for certain things and rundown cyclists if not in a diesel?
Fuck these guys for ruining things for all of us. The broken rules that don’t cause anyone issues often remain unenforced.
I know that some diesel bros gonna hate this kind of things and this is not just in USA but also other countries
If you ever hear any idiot screaming about how the RPM act is going save enthusiasts from the Clean Air Act, which makes modifying your cars illegal (it doesn’t), its for stuff like this article is talking about, not normal off-street race cars.
Sinister Diesel is a jerk but this is a slippery slope. There are legitimate diesel truck competitions and pulls so there is a big grey area. DOJ says Sinister should have policed its customers because it knew many of them were illegally driving their Sinister tuned trucks on public roads. I don’t think federal law…
