He has nothing to do with his actions, but I think many people would expect a man who famously went down the wrong path and almost went to jail for life to have some thoughts on how these things can happen.

Sure, that would fall under “used his connections.” But prior to that he went from being Opie to being in several very successful movies to being Richie. He was constantly employed as an actor from 1960 - 1980.

More like Roger Corman let him direct, like he did for so many others

And apparently running an Olive Oil company.

There’s also the whole part where he seems to have forgotten that he was once a drug trafficker....

I mean there are a lot of child stars who made it through, but they also tend to be *successful* child stars. Ron Howard never really struggled to find work and his connections let him turn to directing.

“I don’t know what happens when people get corrupted.”

Huh. I’d have gone with “He certainly is an adult male actor that I worked with on a project awhile back. Boy howdy.”

The difference between “running a crypto scam” and “just trading crypto” is...?

Allen’s comments are innocuous. He has nothing to do with Bryan’s issues. This seems more like an excuse to write an article about Allen because it will drive more traffic, as the commentariat can’t help but talk about how much they dislike the guy.

His friend committed adultry!

So, we should hit child actors in the head with a hammer, to save them?

The other kid was cooler anyway.

Check him out wearing this sweet Neurosis t-shirt.

Frankie Muniz found a way out too. It took a memory wiping head injury but now he’s happy racing cars so it’s all good

Yep. It read like an accidental confession.

I mean Shirley Temple kind of became awful in the opposite way. She was super uptight, to the point that she started dropping out film festivals in protest if films being screened featured sex/nudity.

ETA: She was also incapable at laughing at herself which led to turning down stuff like the role of Lil’ Vicky in The

Maybe we should be asking Ron Howard how NOT to be corrupted by stardom.. or Shirley Temple.

A good and nuanced statement up until he made it about himself and made it clear he didn't think it was his fault

I never trusted Brad. He just had one of those faces.
