Arsenic is organic too with no calories. Are these characteristics really the barometer of nutrition for models?

Same thing happened with the Duggar kids. Jimmy Bob kept all the money and signed all the contracts with TLC even when the kids were adults. They had zero accounting of how Jim Bob spent the money.

The real crime was making insurance a legal requirement.

The insurance company is the house at the casino. They rig the game(s) so they make money. When they no longer win, they shut down the game or kick out the card counters.

Speaking from personal experience, eff The Hartford. Not only are they just as bad as all the others, they’re arguably worse. My plea to the world is to never give them a cent of your money.

Yeah, but the movers you are talking bout are the Cali red voters. We need blue voters to start moving too.

“[B]ringing models one step closer to basic rights such as requiring agencies to provide workers copies of their contracts and enacting a zero-tolerance policy for abuse.”

Some of them are okay. My dad has car insurance from The Hartford, a AARP perk. Several years back some uninsured idiot ran a stop sign and T-boned dad’s pickup truck. The Hartford paid to have it repaired without complaints, and then paid for a replacement windshield separately when that got missed by the repair

Hmm... this seems like a great opportunity for California to create a public insurance option at cost.

Many people seem to be missing the effect of federalism. Each state regulates insurance companies that operate in their market. CA is particularly onerous for multi-line carriers, particularly those that write both personal and commercial insurance. Now, that’s not to say that carriers can’t or don’t make money; they

Obvious retaliation is obvious.

It was pretty clear since Americas Next Top Model that models are coerced into doing things they don’t want to do. But I don’t believe for one second that the agencies care about their mental well-being.

Just more proof that the whole model industry is garbage.

Insurance is legalised theft... that laws ‘force’ on you...

Counterpoint - uninsured motorist coverage is a HUGE portion of your insurance premium....

California migration to the Dakotas started in large numbers a few years back. One huge reason housing costs here in SoDak continue to rise .

It’s definitely probably in protest of prop 103.

I’m not advocating for the insurance companies, my experiences have been mostly positive, but there’s definitely a disincentive to use one’s policy to make a claim.

Getting a new policy after a few claims is quite tough. That shouldn’t be the case.

That’s like telling your kids that honesty is the best policy, but

Eh, just every day life in Late Stage Capitalism-land. It’ll work out in the end. Worst comes to worst, a lot of rich Californians will move to Wyoming or the Dakotas, or some other red state and flip it. And I can live with that.

Pretty much this. It’s all snake oil. Another example would be Realtors and everything associated with that shit hole business.

Here’s a not so secret secret, insurance companies don’t want to cover anyone. That’s how they make money, by taking your money and giving you nothing in return, then when they do HAVE TO do something, they fight you for every penny hoping you give up. Then the next year they raise your rates because you dared to use
