They could, but why? It would be a logistical nightmare for them to mandate some kind of checking system or hardware lock, and at the end of the day all they would have accomplished is to reduce their own software sales. It would only make sense if MS suddenly went into the PC business.

If that happened, Mac users who needed Adobe and MS software would virtualize them, run them in Wine or use Boot Camp... Although it would suck to use photoshop in a VM.

But my trust issue alarms go off when I think of 1,500 gallons of water being held back by just a few millimeters of PVC-coated tear-resistant (not tear-proof) polyester.

Man, you must have something you really don't want to work on today, yes?

I'm still waiting for the automatic car-wash style, where I step inside and hit a button, coming out shiny and clean without any effort.

So the Japanese makers are copying the Koreans now? Have we come full circle?

Complicated equipment is not the only way. You could go running, or do pushups, or lunges, or sit-ups, or even have some sex. Sex burns like 300 calories per hour! Use your own body weight to work out.

I thought HiDPI just doubled the pixel density of everything, like the retina screen on iPhones? As described it sounds like actual resolution independence. That would be pretty sweet!

In cases such as that, I'd opt for the universal wrench, also known as a cutting torch.

This made me wonder, how are they doing on that aircraft carrier they bought from Russia?

That is quite true. Here in CO it's desert-like but not to the level of AZ. So, 100 is still pretty oppressive although still reasonably tolerable. Same goes for cold, I remember New England winters, and anything under 20 degrees feels like instant frostbite when you're standing in a stiff sea breeze. It's pretty

(this is more or less a reply to the whole thread)

If this guy (stuck twice) is about to enter to an elevator along with other guy that has never been stuck, do they have different chances?
