Count me as one of the very few who dug the begining of this show, and was sad when the retooling happened mid season.

As completely insane as this season has been (was Hakeem actually CEO for an episode or did I hallucinate that?)

Huh…..

Debuted with the blue and white credits of "the cast sneaking around doing illicit things" from 88. I think a 15 in 89 came and went in the middle (and then a 20 in 94), but otherwise hung around to the cast reboot in 95.

If I recall correctly (it's been ages).

Yeah I'd say 2003 ranks as one of my favorite of all time opening shots- just because of the amount of effort involved in making a "pretend walk around the city and encounter everyone at various places" storyline. Pretty much every opening from 04 on has kept the same idea but cut the actual storyline narritive.

In fairness to the recently departed: I think he was going through a pretty rough patch the time. His first marriage had just imploded after miscarriages/the death of his son, and he had just converted to Jehovah's Witness.

Growing up in the South, I at least had a grudging admiration for some, even if it was by no means my favorite genre of music.

That's probably true with 90% of posthumous collections.

Oh absolutely,

1987 Crystal ball (sign of the times + disc 3) will be the crown jewel of any vault release.

I won't protest too hard with this (but I did love about 30-40% of both Musicology and 3121- from Black Sweat on down)

I just hope- if the siblings start commoditizing everything in the vault, they do it the right way. Work with the few people he was closest with (Wendy/Lisa for the 80's, Shelia E, the NPG for the 90's) to package it the way he wrote it originally. Consider remasters and rereleases of the classic albums with B-Sides

When compared to artists who released nearly 1 album per year though from 1978-2016, it's pretty unbelievable how consistent most of it is.

It's honestly sad, as no one was expecting Mad Men level production and storytelling from a nighttime soap. I think anyone would be happy with a story that made even the slightest bit of sense.

4. Boom boom boom boom

I hardly doubt Chris knows this yet, given his one experience with zombie kills so far, but even so if so mercy kill with a pillow then destroy the brain after.

When you encounter someone with a gaping hole in their chest……….a pillow over the face will probably do the trick.

Post 90 essentials:

It took me about a month to process much less deal with BOWIE's death. I never thought I'd be doing the same with Prince 4 months later.
