Is there any reason that, in a story that takes place in a very limited region of Wales, that nearly every character is speaking with a different English dialect?

That's about where I am: too boring to hate watch.

Ahhh……Coco's beautiful tonight show set. It might be my favorite version of a late night set ever (Colberts CBS studio is a close second).

I will easily admit that this show is largely crap. That the writers are complete hacks who have relied on the exact same narrative tricks since season 1 (really? Another dark curse?). That every character gets briefly struck with stupidity disease in service of the plot.

Considering the amount of energy 10 used to make handy….. I'm sure at least one

I'd agree largely that there were some obvious plotting issues,

This is the most blunt force Sutter of all Sutter shows. The exploitative violence between barely sketched out characters that ultimately means very little. The magical and amazing qualities of his wife taking up far too much airtime. The laughably superficial attempts at high brow entertainment, when the story is

I will say, take your time watching.

Only 6 episodes for S1 (counting this double ep), so plenty of time to catch back up.

Its funny how Michael Bay has absorbed the "shitty mindless summer blockbuster director" title from Emmerich, when arguably Emmerich is the objectively worse filmmaker. I don't know why anyone greenlit a serious movie from the guy responsible for the "Today the world declares its independence" speech.

Season 3 for both shows might be the point where they jumped from excellent to all time greats.

I only have a teeny tiny smal quibble with Moffats ongoing need to stuff as much crazy shit in as possible rather than focus on plot and characterization. (I say this but I totally loved seeing the shadow proclamation and the judoun (sp?) again).

They did……at least in the lead up to the 50th special- it was the 7th doctors chosen story.

The second I saw Jax like scenes of perfect tranquility with……let's call her Tara, I KNEW she was going to be slaughtered horribly (as this is a Sutter show after all)

C-

Yeah I have no idea then, that's just bizzare. Plenty of "hour long" US shows run for 41 minutes.

Holy sweet Jesus Prince not only let someone in the studio with him but handle the production???!?!?!?!???!????!?!????!?

I'm completely utterly blown away, emotionally devestated, and just amazed not only by the facts of a true story I knew nothing about, but the performances of everyone involved.

I'm not disagreeing with you in the slightest. For me, the show had an interesting but flawed Frank Darabount half season and did not even begin to approach competency untill Scott Gimple in season 4 (even then I would in no way classify what WD does as quality TV).

I'm not going to say it was a complete waste- behind all of the wasted scenes and lifetime movie drama there was an interesting story about lil voldemort first discovering zombie outbreak and believing it was drug induced hallucinations.
