Yep: no thanks Sutter.

I'm reminded of Carmine Lupertazi jr's quote from the sopranos, describing his directorial style as "focusing on da sacred and da propane", as we pan over shots of a beautiful garden mixed with dead bodies and Jack ass humping LESBIAN!!!! (I haven't forgotten)Wendy.

It's just really hard to keep watching a show where everyone repeatedly catches the stupid.

I fundamentally disagree. I think the laziest form of reference humor is when the joke is the reference itself in an unfamiliar context. (I. E. When family guy references the pinball animation from Sesame Street for no reason than to be like "hey 18-34 year olds, remember this, isn't it crazy it's on Family Guy now!")

Well I'm glad season seven finally started!

Pretty sure, as this is a Kurt Sutter production, you'll get your wish

I'm pretty sure Tyson went to jail and served his sentence.

Sesame Street taught me how to clap clap clappity clap clap

It would actually be the greatest thing in the history of anything ever.

I'm honestly not even sure if Kurt believes Jax is a bad guy, otherwise why the at least three this monologues from random characters about what a good man Jax is? I'd be a lot more excited for the finale if i believed Jax was actually going to face consequences for all of his terrible decisions this year, I'm just

As Sutter said in anarchy afterword, like the episode title, the man rape was a nod to the Bronte sisters

Im pretty sure avclub reviewers get advanced copies of the episodes, and these are pre-written to be published immediately after the episode has aired.

If ever there was an appropriate montage to open this show, it was not just a montage of fucking. It was a montage of 7-8 couples in mid coitus, (including anal rape by Marilyn Manson of course).

Hahah that's kind of brilliantly straightforward (and completely true- the master DIED in planet of fire and the Colin Baker ep with the Rani. He also died in the terrible third season finale and the RTD finale.

Oh I say this as a RTD fan.

Last year I would have argued crappy writing.

The most RTD like of all Moffats seasons ends with a RTD style teaser trailer.

I just don't think you can call the rampage of a serial killer "violence against women".

You could have approximately 600 versions of Gemma saying Shiiiit in a moan whisper.

Unless Graham Yost announces he's turning over show running duties to Sutter and Scott Buck, I don't think you have anything to worry about.
