I drove up to Detroit from Indiana to see that show and it was sold out. Like a dipshit I didn't buy tickets beforehand. I did see the Aquabats the next day, so it wasn't all bad.

I don't think there's any "probably" about it. They definitely were listening to the Promise Ring and Braid.
Everybody's favorite TP director, for sure.
I totally ship them, as the kids would say.
Agreed. I just plowed through it all over two weeks, and aside from episodes 13-17 (or somewhere around there), it's absolutely as good as I remember.
Jerry was the first true foodie of television.
I love this show. I think Sean Evans seems like a cool guy and he does some really informative interviews.
And of course, Froggy's Pad. That WAS part of it, right? I'm old and my memory isn't what it once was.
I like the comparison. I mean, I know it's not really breaking new ground per se, but I'm still having a hard time comparing it directly to anything. I'm getting older and stuff doesn't grab me like it used to, but this band did for some reason or another.
Upvoted for admitting this in writing.
I see nothing wrong with that.
Well, I love softer emo AND Slint, so maybe there's something to that.
I love this band, but I find it really hard to explain their music. There is something really sinister about it. It's like they set fire to rock music. Maguire reminds me of Frank Black. He's got that yelp or howl that really transforms the band. I think this is the album I'm most looking forward to this year. I am…
Thanks, that would be great! I'm sure I've checked at Fresh Market before too. I'll have to make a run to Fresh Thyme. Oley's has a really great giardiniera, and they gave me the brand name (it's a place out of Chicago). Their website said they had it at the closest GFS, but when I went there and asked about it, they…
Yeah, I know where to find it, but the Kroger's around here don't seem to carry it anymore. They used to only have one brand anyway, and it wasn't to my liking. I guess I wish it was as easy as walking into a store in Chicago and seeing fifteen different brands to choose from.
Where at? I've found some at Walmart, but otherwise the Kroger's don't seem to have it. I even went to Jamison's thinking surely they would know what I was talking about, but alas, they did not.
The last time I went to Chicago, I made it a point to find some good tavern-style pizza. Vito & Nick's was a little too far, so I went to Pat's. I heard they take something like 4 days to prepare their dough. I'm not sure how accurate that is. Anyway, Pat's was awesome and the pizza was everything I had hoped it would…
I'm on the "they're both pretty terrible boat" but after Mickey makes Gus get out of the car, and instead of continuing to fight, he apologized, I changed my tune on him a bit. He could have continued to think he was right, but he realized the error of his ways. I thought that was pretty unexpected and welcome.
The characters have definitely been retooled a little. They're not nearly as insufferable. I'm not sure how they've managed to grow in the span of a few days, but I like the direction. There's specifically a scene in episode 8 where Rust's character actually reads the situation correctly instead of making it worse,…
Unpopular opinion, but I'd put We Were Dead at number three, easily. Everything else on your list is spot on. That's a damn good run of albums.
