I love this show, but it strikes me that NONE of the female characters have any friends — Rayna, Scarlett, Juliette. They exist solely in relationship to men. It's like three princess/victim stories happening in parallel. I find this depressing.
Yep — you talk back, and you are escalating the situation, 9 times out of 10. MAKE SURE someone else is around if you decide to talk back. Make sure LOTS of someone else is around.
Dumbass.
Yeah, it was a speeder that killed my best friend and her mother on the highway on their way to my friend's engagement party. Fuck speeders.
I don't give a crap if you smoke pot. But endangering everyone on the highway with your lead foot? Fuck you and your fast car with a hairy porcupine.
Geez, I better get busy trying to keep my "market value" high enough so that I can attract a guy who tries to appear unavailable by " 'acting snooty or rude,' 'saying all the right things but not calling,' and 'treating others like s#@t.'" What a CATCH!
I hope not, because moms get blamed for enough already, I think.
I've even found this in my knitting group, sad to say. "You're knitting some thing by [that designer]? Oh, did I ever tell you I own all her books and I met her one time and gave her some pointers on technique . . . "
Oh, and some careers seem to attract this type of person. Grad school. Bad sales reps. Party planners.
I think it is generally true just because it takes money to travel.
