just substitute “wildly expensive to repair” for “complex” in nearly any automotive story.
Our local CSA takes all the leaves and manufactures compost in gigantic fields. They use the compost in the growing fields and it’s a nice circular path for those leaves. I rake them onto a tarp, pull the corners together and haul the lot to the compost in a 1959 Ford pickup. That’s about all the driving that old…
Having a few hundred million helps reduce the worry lines.
Six grey houses in a row on my street. Mine has the bright red door.
You are absolutely right. Raking is very good for your core muscles and upper body. I worked for a tree service for 30 years and raked a thousand yards and never once had a leaf blower. I did wear out a steel yard rake about every month and a half. We were expected to produce a mile of trimming every day. We…

On this, the eve of an economic “whoopsie”, every business of every stripe is deciding 35% markup is for chumps and why not mark everything up 100% and stash the cash for the coming dark time, again.
absent revolutionary new technology (not impossible) we are earthbound for quite a while yet. Should a Kessler event occur. Space is rendered useless.
Great, not a Kroger within 300 miles.
My neighbor of my childhood home moved to Massachusetts from Detroit in 1967. He arrived in a Pontiac with a giant engine and three two barrel carbs. Two tickets in as many weeks and he came home one evening with the 1968 280SL. As a young man, I was smitten with the neatness and attention to detail under the hood. …
My rust free ‘04 Civic coupe just rolled 235K I put in a clutch to replace the OG one. Other than an alternator and wear items and a hood release cable it’s been just about perfect. I only drive it on a back road commute for 16 miles a day. I figure I can use it like that until the sun turns black.
