Really? My Casio EX-ZR100 has Continuos shutter mode and takes 2,368 photos per minute (about 39 per second) at 10.0MP. If I took a video at it's highest frame rate, I would technically be taking 60,000 pictures per second. And my camera cost less.

Uhm, it makes no sense to compare these to the retina display... The screen is almost over a year old and was built for a small battery and mobile graphics processors. It is unfair to say old technology is inferior to new technology, that is common knowledge.

What is the thickness, looks like it has too much depth for any practical uses in mobile devices... Anyway, what is the point? It will use more battery and graphics power than other displays, and the retina display already has nearly indiscernible pixels. So why do we need that many more.
