Wow, thank you for explaining that line to me after all these years. I can imagine a more Whedon-y actor just throwing it away and suddenly it makes sense. I always just thought it was a dumb line for no reason.

I have to say I’m no fan of the Rick and Morty theme tune. For a show that’s all about subverting sci-fi tropes, it just seems a little too... obvious. When I first saw the opening titles I kept waiting for the theme tune to “drop” or really kick in in some way but no - it’s just “Sci-fi tune 13" from the stock

If this were a news article about the film, then sure, it would be weird not to mention it. But this is a review - the sole purpose of this text is to tell people whether to go see the movie. So unless you’re boycotting the movie to protest the poor working conditions, it seems odd to mention that stuff in a review.
