You guys all know there was a "Fargo" pilot right? Starring Edie Falco? And um the same husband from the movie? Google it. It was real.

"Ballad Of Cable Hogue" is another Peckinpah example. Jason Robards blows up a lizard in one scene. I saw Robards in a late-in-life interview (an extra feature on the "Magnolia" DVD if memory serves) and he said it was done by actually blowing up a lizard.
