I posted about this below... I seriously just can’t deal with the butt-picking and greasy nose rubbing.

See, I was a HUGE Sampras fan... So I HATED Federer for YEARS after 2001 Wimbledon. Which is a shame, really, in retrospect, because Federer is amazing to watch. I wonder how many old Sampras fans align with Federer, and Agassi fans with Nadal?
As well as they are playing, I’ll continue to enjoy. Well, Federer, at least. I wish that the TV channels would ban showing a close up of Nadal when he’s serving. I love how he plays, but I can only make it through about 1 set of butt picking, nose and eyebrow rubbing, squirrel face before I have to stop watching. My…
As a Kentuckian and UK fan, I would like to apologise for the bad behavior of my brethren in Big Blue Nation... But if threatening to smack the taste out of somebody’s mouth is a crime, then every parent in the South is at risk of prosecution.
1. I am not a guy, so I will never be “that guy.”
All of Rome was not built in a day... Just like any other area of condensed, generational poverty, it will take years and years to fix. My grandfather’s family left Eastern Kentucky with his family for job opportunities, so that is certainly one way out. But it’s a way out that requires resources and education.
So much this. I’m from and live in Kentucky, and saw this play out over and over again on my Facebook timeline... It wasn’t about racism or sexism, or whatever other ism, which is not to deny their existence. But it was about poor and economically insecure people looking for someone to change the system. Definitely…
I know!!! I saw it right after I posted my reply. I think that means we’re psychotic or something!
This. I think that Fed, and even Tom Brady, are warping our notions of the (inevitable) effect of Father Time. Plus, I think that the mental game can become much more difficult with the addition of a family. Andy Murray is in a similar situation, and, while not as dramatic, he seems to be having a similar drop-off.…
Not a good look to you... And maybe the rest of the universe...but to me, in a sea of scripted, smarmy pandering, it looked just fine.
No idea who he or just about anyone else on this list is, despite watching ESPN fairly regularly (mostly actual sports, and I tend to zone out the commentary). General consensus is that Kannell is an asshole, so I’m fine with that. I’ll believe y’all. But, in a sea of robotic sunshine, lollipops, and rainbows, I…
Haven’t told a single lie and I’m in a great mood! Like I said, I know that name-calling in an argument is the last resort of a loser. I will savor my victory with the dinner I’m about to pull out of the oven. Have a good night!
I’m so sorry, but why are you so angry? I acknowledged that you were right, and thanked you for your help! Shouldn’t you take my words at face value?
You’re right. I’m just crazy, irrational, over-reacting, dishonest, not right in the head, and self-victimizing. Nothing historically gender-biased in any of those terms! Thank you for telling me what my opinion should be. Obviously, when I try to think for myself I just get it all wrong!
My gender matters in this instance because of the gender dynamics of this particular situation, just as your sexuality can matter in other contexts, or race in others. We all can have biases. In this case, you, a male member of the media, are defending and aligning yourself with a male member of the media. As a…
I admit that being a female sports fan can be trying at times. I get that you very obviously don’t understand my point of view.
Look, I get that referencing tone can be tricky, and can be used both ways. Yes, it can be used to infer meaning that isn’t there. But it can also be abused by any side of an argument by intentionally dismissing it or misinterpreting it—oh so and so was just joking, I’m not really angry, etc.
Using a Breitbart in any context in reference to me is an insult...But my reply was meant to be somewhat in jest. So you can have that point.
Name-calling means I win!! 😜
