Yeah. I mean, I’m happy anytime people appreciate her, but the ones who have to make that little self-congratulatory caveat first about how they can now bestow thier precious acceptance upon her because she sometimes wears day clothes just turn my stomach. Like they’re so smart for being able to differentiate between

My mother in law worked at an amusement park. The building she worked in had a second story with an outside staircase. The upstairs room was a dressing area for people to put on costumes out of sight of the guests. One day, the koolaid guy fell down the steps and laid at the bottom rolling and swearing because he

“I say it it like it is” people are the woooorst. No, you’re not being refreshingly honest, you’re just being a dick.

Long gone is the era wherein people generally minded their own goddamn business.

This needs more stars!!

Great interview! Matt, thanks for becoming an outspoken feminist and ally. We need you! Keep being awesome!

I get very annoyed when allies of a movement are given shit for speaking out from others within the movement. Can’t we just be happy that more people are getting on board, and that people with a platform are

I like my Tweets like I like my coffee: light and frothy.

Hey Matt (this is literally addressed to you, because you said you read the Jezebel comments, but it’s also addressed to everyone - so, most of us - trying to be an ally of another group):

The weather was too nice, it was well into everyone’s spring break, and we’d had a long winter. It was a recipe for total catastrophe. Been here 13 years, only braved it twice, and I work downtown. Much the same way you don’t go to the fireworks every year or your head will explode.

I wanted to go this year but looked at pics of the crowds and said NOPE.

this is so sad. But I get how the overwhelming number of people sucks the fun out of it. I went to see the cherry blossoms this year because I’ve lived in the area for 10 years and might as well but HOLY CHRIST ON A CRACKER I’ve never seen so many people in one place trying to see some pregnant trees. We left pretty

I definitely agree that Kanye has good intentions when it comes to his family. I am definitely impressed with how accepting he is. I think part of it might have to do with wanting to make his mom proud. It seems like part of him blames himself for what happened to her, which he shouldn't but it still might influence

I think he was one of the first mainstream hip hop dudes to openly support the LGBTQ community.

Kanye has been supportive of lgbtq rights for a while. He’s a weird guy, he has no filter, and he expresses himself poorly sometimes. But ultimately I think he’s a brave, good guy.

Me too re: weird patriotism. I gotta say . . . I could never hate on the Kardashians, or the Jenners, even back in 2006. Despite all of their reality tv/ dash/ tabloid / marriage fame, they are like this big beautiful modern American family that supports in each other in any and all pursuits.

It never ceases to amaze me how people will latch on to just about ANYTHING as proof that the Kardashians are like, the worst human beings on the planet. I just posted on Facebook about how impressed I was about the Kardashian response to this and someone immediately responded with something that was essentially “Fuck

Jamie Layton’s story reminds me of a famous story I heard when I was working at a regional theater festival.

I found myself glad about this because I got so sick of seeing the sexist bullcrap reasons about why women shouldn’t be allowed to take them. That said though, I personally find them super tacky.....

That is definitely weird, especially the Pirates of the Caribbean one...

They’re Armenian, aren’t they?
