I have hauled lumber on the roof rack of my E63, and I have reheated fried chicken on the intake plenum of my W-body Cutlass. I also hauled a transmission in the trunk of my Cutlass from San Francisco to Boise.

What if the manufacturer of the car gives you the swag? Is it then acceptable? I bought my AMG used, went to an AMG event, they gave me a hat that said... AMG on it. Can I wear it without being a tool? Should I leave it on my hat tray so that the hat tray serves a purpose?

I pay about $400 a month for my AMG (payment and insurance). 2008 E63 and the sale price was $17K. Im also a lot less worried about it breaking than the M5. I was cross shopping the 2 after driving the same car since 1990. The M5 quarks where too much for me. Needless to say I am the living embodiment opposite of this…
