That was stupid.

I feel you. I really want to like Ghost in the Shell because of the aesthetics and its topics, but it touches on its themes in such a shallow, noncommittal way that it makes it hard to enjoy the movie. It’s just not saying anything or challenging viewers to think about anything. That’s why I see a lot of reviews


Will this work if I got disappointed by the anime movie as well?

So, I have to be honest. As just a movie, I would have liked it fine. It was a new and interesting, if incredibly silly, idea.

Well, I’m a little surprised it gets as much love as it does. I’m down the middle on it. I liked in that I was entertained enough that I didn’t think it was a waste of my time. I spent much of the movie beating back the thought of how ridiculous the entire concept was, however. “But why are they on a train?”
