Early 2011 MBP, half the battery life. I figured that's why they removed the Time Remaining display...

Eh. One time my cat freaked at the vet's and bit the heck out of my hand. I'm talking four deep punctures (plus the claws, but hey).

Wow, five whole tweaks for mountain lion.

Still can't get them with a non-glossy screen.

I've done this several times on an early-2011 MBP, most recently a few weeks ago win an SSD (finally). It's really simple to do. You just have to take the bottom cover off, then the little caddy the harddrive in is easily accessible. I used Carbon Copy Cloner to clone the OS on the new drive first (has it plugged in

Spaces were probably accidentally omitted, and the comment system parsed the text as a URL.

I use MyTracks. Works really well for me.

I'd like to get rid of the notification center. I've not had a single thing show up in there. I don't use the calendars or gmail or... I have no idea what else is supposed to shop up in there. But so far nothing has. That icon just sits up there for no reason.

Let me put it this way, I wouldn't buy a 3DTV if it /did/ require glasses. When they get good enough without them, then I'll be willing to consider it.

Having watched the original airing of Lost Girl, I wonder just how censored it is on SyFy.

I actually do know (or at least used to know) what all those modem terms are. I remember when MNP4 and MNP5 were the awesomest things you could have on a modem. Unless you were downloading ARJ files and/or using zmodem, then the compression just slowed things down, and zmodem had built-in CRC correction.

Google "I like monkeys".

I used to get those a lot, but after a few years of running I can't even remember the last time it happened. So I'm all for solution number 5.
