For me, it's the episode of the Adam West Batman series when the Penguin runs a sleazy campaign for Mayor against the upright Batman. Penguin polls way higher than Batman leading up to the election, but Batman wins by a landslide because the American people aren't fools. It was once my favorite episode. Now it hurts…

I watched that cartoon (along with the animated "Ewoks") long before I ever saw a Star Wars movie. My only memory of it was that I was constantly complaining that Darth Vader wasn't in it.
