I didn't say don't be vocal, but you have to be careful how you make yourself vocal. Dominating entertainment and forcing the message on everyone wil just make you into the unwitting villain. It's incredibly easy to be come what you are fighting, or even worse, when you allow bitterness to be the driving force.

I completely understand. I never thought all gay people were the same. Every movement has its loons, I'm just unhappy with those people. I don't always word things as eloquently as I could—I'm quite familiar with the taste of my own foot, actually—but I assure you that I harbored no ill will.

It really does seem that our whole debate has stemmed from our opinion on what the public face actually is. I'm sorry if it seems as if I was generalizing. I tried to post some links that were a little malicious against Nintendo, but Kinja mobile apparently thinks I shouldn't do that. I really don't feel that gay

I'm appalled when I hear about people being so cruel to homosexuals, I really am. I'm just the sort of person who thinks that forcing people to change their creative works to please you is just sort of annoying. Unless the company made a promise they didn't keep without probable cause, they don't have to make

I never said that people should be against gay marriage. It just bothers me that someone would ever say that someone is in the wrong for not including something in a creative work that never promised anything. You can't ask for freedoms and then say that someone is wrong simply for using their freedom. So some

The college thing was more of a jest, but progressivism in America hasn't been a well handled thing. I don't think progress is bad, we just largely don't take the time needed to consider consequences of said progress.

I think the beef we're having with each other is what we define as LGBT. I see the LGBT as the public face of the gay rights movement, which has been pretty ham-fisted. I don't equate them to the gay-rights community as a whole. It's sort of like my opinion on the difference between classic and neo feminism. One is

Yeah, I can see that, but I see this more as one of the flaws the US has harbored through history. Ever since progressivism found its way into our ideals, we've had a tendency to address problems with the least tact imaginable. Mix that in with a bunch of college students with more book smarts than common sense or

LGBT is the public face of the homosexual rights movement. I don't think all homosexuals and their advocates are the same, but the organization and community that is suppose to be helping them is doing more damage than good.

My point is that just because someone does not include something in a creative work does not mean that they are against it. Most of the development team was likely heterosexual. The LGBT has started equating not mentioning to just being plain evil. That is an incredibly juvenile take on the world. Do you know how

I'm an asshole because I believe in freedom of expression, and the LGBT seems intent on dictating what others do right down to entertainment?

I just think that if they really want to be taken seriously, they need to stop sensationalizing and making a fashion out of this movement. Homosexuality is not nearly as prevelant as it's made out to be. My heart goes out to the ones who are genuine and polite, but what we have is a bunch of attention-mongers putting

That's what I find so ironic about the LGBT. They're screaming for acceptance, but they are quickly becoming incredibly heavy handed and just plain hateful. You pretty much have to swear to mention homosexuality in a good light in at least every third sentence you speak, lest you be a foaming-mouthed gay-hater. But

I understand your frustration. I'm a hopelessly hopeful person, so the way people treat each other can be a little disenchantening. I can understand being competitive, ala Dark Souls invasion and whatnot, but to just actively seek to ruin someone's gaming experience is just plain evil, to me.

The thing that bugs me about these arguments is that sexuality of X is made to equal Y (X being men, and Y being women). The sexuality of of X and Y are both complete worlds apart. Most of the women I know find a chiseled man in an ab-tight shirt and ass-tight jeans more attractive than a dude with his junk flapping

Boy, is there egg on my face. I kind of got a little trigger happy there. I realize now that you actually stated that. My humblest apologies.

No, the equivalent of cleavage would not be the penis. The penis and the vagina are the parallel anatomy, so an exposed penis is the equivalent of an exposed vagina.

Yeah, people usually assume that Alabama is all about the country. It does't surprise me that rap is more popular than country. Not that I like either genre, but I do hear a lot more rap than country here in Alabama.

We all know Other M was atrocious, but I think it's all but ignored by everyone. I have a feeling most people cast it out the door after five minutes.
