That’s true for most characters that rely on projectiles not just snake. He’s not even the worst offender. The Belmonts and Samus are way worse in that regard.
The thing about Snake is that it’s exciting to watch him set up traps and when they’re well executed they’re hype as hell. I personally love watching MVD and Ally play. Like when you’re watching a match and suddenly snake detonates his C4 to take the stock and you had no idea it was there so it come as a total surprise…

I agree with your sentiment, but in Melee all characters could wave-dash, in MK8 only karts can fire-hop. If bikes could also fire-hop then it wouldn’t be a problem.
