Checking Wookiepedia, she was born 36 years BBY and RoS takes place in 35 ABY. So she’d be 71-72.

Re: Ashoka Tamo
Which is probably the point. There have always been competent Bond Girls, but they’re always dismissed and forgotten, and it’s unlikely to change now because the stereotype exists.
No Time To Die’s Bond Girls are going to be all-new, all-different
The RvJ title is killing me.
Very true. Just like many white Americans were anti-slavery and pro-civil rights. But that doesn’t mean a middle aged white author from a southern suburbs is accurately going to represent the issues facing Black America and is the voice you want presenting those problems.
Right. So why would they have accurate and unbiased knowledge of their affects on a culture or people? Virtually no one on the island was colonized or knows anyone who was. As you say, the British Empire had only recently ended when she was young, so there’d be ample people mourning the country’s lost greatness.
Also don’t make assumptions about internet strangers. You have no idea how wrong you are about me. And no I don’t feel obligated to enlighten you.
Right. You know OF the Troubles and Scottish Independence movement, but the details are probably vague and based on movies like Name of the Father.
Okay, then without turning to Google or Wikipedia can you explain to me the clip-notes history of Scottish independence? Rough dates are fine, such as ranges of decades. What are the major cultural divisions of Scotland from their neighbour to the south?
There’s the rub. No matter how left-wing, liberal, and progressive we are, our views will generally not stand up to the opinions of the next generation. And even if you can keep up with evolving mores and values, the views of the generation after that will be even more alien and unfamiliar.
Was never a fan of her Worst Witch rip-off anyway ;)
Which is probably pretty common amount cis, white, heterosexual Brits, especially those raised in the ‘70s.
Why would she know anything about Colonialism? That’s like expecting Americans to know about Scottish Independence or “The Troubles” with Ireland.
Unfortunate.
So from someone who won’t see it for several weeks, is Ahsoka actually in the movie, either mentioned or in the background?

That’s just baseless fan speculation from the anti-TLJ crowd (which is just a vocal minority).
Not really. There have been openly gay people and closeted gay people for all of human history. Like Oscar Wilde being arrested for sodomy in the 1890s, which was a felony in the UK since 1533.
I’m curious to see how they pull out a hard “the end” ending without killing everyone. Because even if the entire First Order is destroyed (which seems unlikely and would require a hell of a lot of hand waving) you still have to wonder what happens next. Will there be a NEW New Republic? A newer Jedi Order?
Maybe. But probably not. Homosexuality has been pretty unaccepted for centuries, but how emotional men can be has changed dramatically during that time. The rise of toxic masculine and the ur-man in the Western world is certainly tied to not being feminine or gay, but there’s also a dash of anti-intellectualism and…
