@kameoosama: Thanks, I may try again to get into it.

@Tipop: Yeah, and that's why romantic comedies are crap. And unrealistic lasers are a fairly minor part of most sci-fi. It's the story telling that is important. In my experience, the derivativeness extends past just the visual style in anime.

@Jaymii: Maybe I'll check it out. However, I've had enough friends point me to crummy anime that I have basically given up on the genre.

@Toastie: If anyone notices, that is.

@Jaymii: Unfortunately, I've never been able to find the Mad Men.

@Lauraliane: See, every time I try to get into anime, I take advice from someone who says "x is bad anime. You need to try a hidden gem like y." and then when I hate y, someone says "yeah, y is crap, checkout a hidden gem like z!" and on, and on, and on...

@thekeith82: Chev Chelios does not read words. He injects them into his heart and then has sex with Amy Smart.

OMG, aliens have invaded a sound stage in Burbank!

Before clicking on this article, I was curious how he would handle a semi-touchy issue like this. However, he did a masterful job of using wit to not make anyone mad. Well done, Whedon.

"Play us out, sex dungeon Aquaman."

@Jackstick: Sorry, I took one down and passed it around.

Some of these are great, but, for the life of me, I have never been able to see the appeal of xkcd. I have friends who swear by it, but I can't stand most of it.

1. That was very cool.

I was kind of hoping that they would remake Avatar with the Cowboys as the Navi, and be all preachy about how the aliens don't understand our simple cowboy ways.

@akarpens: Agreed. I don't know if this sort of thing is typical, but it wasn't appealing, even with Summer Glau.

This looked better than the previously posted footage. I'm a bit more hopeful now.

@Smeagol92055: You can disable the explosions under preferences.

Aaaaawh, yeah!

Ha, when the last video ended, before I looked at my hand, I saw the Union Jack again. That effect must have lasted a while.
