This is awful, as per usual.

I hate reality TV, but I did watch it as a kid with my grandma when she used to watch that show. I wouldn’t be surprised if they were wearing at least a little makeup, since a lot of that show is fake to begin with. They make waterproof mascara, after all.

I know hippos are actually quite dangerous, but they’re so cute! Even the adult hippos. OMG. I love when they go by the window at the zoo and act like they can see you, and are showing off. I know they probably can’t see me but it’s soooo cuuuute!

That’s the longer version (imo). But 2 out of 3 of those women were the “weird swoopy I’m growing my hair out maybe?” thing Katy and Miley have in the meme, so that may be why I’m more biased against that cut. And, let the record show: I hate both haircuts.

I can’t see the haircut as anything other than “bitchy white lady at work who regrets her life choices and takes it out on everyone” because I’ve now run into three blonde middle-aged women with this exact haircut. Sometimes it’s a little longer, but it’s basically the same damn cut.

Exactly. I can’t think of any woman right now who looks conventionally attractive without makeup. Makeup has become such a big part of our society that there are men who think they prefer women without makeup, when their idea of “no makeup” is actually girls who do a natural look.

I think it’s more that she knew if she didn’t move, he was going to land on her feet.

That’s very true, and makes me think of a few things: A) the stereotype that Americans are superficial and have a lot of acquaintances but very few real friends and, B) that study people were passing around on FB a few months ago about the fact that people have less friends than they think.

I wonder how many people genuinely thought they were friends with Diane and now feel hurt.

I really hope she runs for president. She’s amazing.

Because, when you’re racist and you have nothing going for you, you can take comfort in the lie that you’re still somehow magically superior.

“This is what being an officer is about. This is what the media doesn’t report on but happens every single day by officers all over,” Weir’s wife, Jennifer wrote on Facebook...

I don’t think it’s shade. I read it as a pretty direct insult. As in, she can’t compare to someone as amazing as Mary J. Blige.

IDK if love can do much; I’m sure Ivana loves her kids...

Ah, OK. That make sense. I definitely misread the asker’s question. I assumed she wanted to post the names to find them, rather than helping them find their ancestors. That’s my bad for not reading carefully.

Unless you want to give them their reparations, why would you want to reach out to the descendants of your ancestor’s slaves? It’s not like finding long-lost relatives.

As long as you don’t need to have that beer with dinner, and could stop having it without having any issues, then it’s not a problem. When you’re like the author and get anxious about the idea of not being able to have a drink, it’s definitely a sign something is wrong; it may not be alcoholism, but something is wrong.

“It sometimes can be physically painful for to close our legs and we can’t be expected to do so.”
