Yeah, but I thought we were past making movies valorizing it.

Okay, so every preview/review/trailer I've seen for Silence makes it look like "enlightened white people try to save barbaric brown people and their inherently terrible culture from themselves."
Yeah, I remember reading it ages ago—I don't think that was ever something they explained.
Just block him. It's not worth engaging.
Gah, I'm feeling the same way I felt after Westworld ended, which is impressed with the show's production and acting but frustrated that in the end, it ignored all of the interesting questions it raised to engage in a finale that was action-packed and technically adept but thematically boring as hell.
I haven't watched the finale yet, but I'm both looking forward to it and dreading it because I feel like with Ep. 9, the show got to the point where it's defined enough of its mythology that it needs to clear up some things.
Thank you! :-) I work at Paizo, and it's always nice when people advocate for making sure we get paid for what we make.
I actually whispered "yes!" out loud at "It's not a zero-sum game." Because I feel, more than anything, that's the fear that drove white people, especially white men, to vote for him.

I think the "Adversary" is Ford—he's the demiurge to Arnold's creator.
I am so here for supergenius Maeve.
Fringe had loose ends, yes, but it also had a satisfying ending that tied up all the major story beats. Person of Interest had a great ending.
The pop-up elevator with the sod roof is my favorite feature in the park.
So, I just noticed this week that when hosts shoot each other, or a guest shoots a host, the gun sends up a (subtle) puff of green smoke. When a host shoots a guest, or (I think?) a guest shoots a guest, it sends up a puff of red smoke.
I dunno, I've worked with actual Sizemores, and watch this show with a bunch of other game industry creatives who've had to work with Sizemores, so seeing him mocked is pretty cathartic for us, and one of our favorite little treats in this show.
My blocking had nothing to do with his defense of anything. It had to do with his repeated insistence that Catholics are the only people with the right to talk about religion.
