I am a feminist. I'm not a monarchist.

Is it that Smith dude? I blocked him. Creepy af.

The demons-used-to-be-angels angle is also emphasized in the nuns' exorcism, where they repeatedly address the demon as "fallen angel" rather than "unclean spirit."

There's a more interesting trend underlying this one, seen in TV shows like Salem and movies like The Witch. It used to be that the Salem witches were portrayed as secret pagans, or good Christians who were misunderstood healers, or just uppity women whom the men in the community (and some of the women) wanted to see

O'Hare is a hellmouth.

That was really good!

Sweet! Got a link handy?

Imma just leave this here:

Ah yes, shame on those women for getting pissed at anyone with a hint of wanting us to be treated like second class citizens.

As Tomas noted, she's a single mother (and I think he mentioned she's working two jobs). But that's not the point. The point is watch it with your offhanded sexism.

Oh, right, the creepy dude who's incensed at the idea that non-Catholics exist! I advise ignoring him.

Um, he doesn't need a *male* role model to teach him basic etiquette. Shocking as it may be, women are also able to teach children manners.

Well, as much as you and I might have enjoyed that sort of theological digression, we're probably in the minority and the show's already struggling with its ratings. ;-)

Yeah, dude, we got your sexist point.

She wasn't "overshadowed." They literally *stole her notes* and took credit for everything in them.

I'm not Catholic, but I seem to recall that under some theological rubrics, Lucifer (and by extension, any fallen angel) has essentially been forgiven already—his refusal to accept the forgiveness is what keeps him in a state of damnation.

*sob*

We've done plenty to change the fabric of the US, and the world. The problem is men keep saying they did it instead.

I know. *sigh* It's just that it gets exhausting for the rest of us. Christians and resentful former Christians suck all the air out of the room every time religion comes up.

*sigh* You realize that there are entire populations of people out there who are watching this and are neither Christian *nor* atheist, right? Like, the world isn't divided into Christians and people who used to be Christian and/or define themselves in opposition to it?
