Hell there are entire chunks of Doctor Who missing cause BBC didnt save ANYTHING back in the day and just taped over all the masters.  So similar to what you said there are people who hunt out recordings of different episodes because some seasons dont have a full episode count on any medium (at least last I checked).

Cathlolic High School Girls in Trouble?

I still think Solo should have been moved to a December release date and given more time for Howard to work on it. But I understand with budgets it would have inflated bigger than it was. So from that point I can understand why they wanted to stick with a May release.

It also demonstrated that making an EU-type story for the movies really wouldn’t connect with the audience, beyond the 15% of the viewers who care about “deep cuts” like Teras Kasi.

No BurgerTime or Tapper? Cancelled.

I do!

A Weekend In The City is a very good album, it just doesn’t have the same propulsiveness and verve that Silent Alarm has. I also think Four is the closest they came to their debut though, and no one seems to really agree

Right? They totally forgot about Four. That album is my second favorite Bloc Party album behind Silent Alarm. Sadly, no matter what they do (which doesn’t seem like much these days), it will always be compared to Silent Alarm.

The substitute organist sketch was what got me. It’s the simplest, most obvious joke and unlike most of the other sketches they don’t really develop it or throw in any kind of twist, it’s just inappropriately silly music at a funeral. But my god, I had tears going down my face by the end.

This camcorder is out of place and out of time. The period is 1985, but this digital camcorder with flip-out LCD screen didn’t exist until the mid-90s. It’s all about the details, guys!

Oddly enough, I just watched a documentary about Grease 2 called The Case Against Adrian Zmed.

TIL these children ain’t seen Tom Hanks on Family Ties.

Fun article.

Not a movie, but 2019 also marks the 65th anniversary of Richard Matheson’s novel I AM LEGEND, which has inspired at least three “official” adaptations and, unofficially, pretty much grandfathered the entire zombie-apocalypse subgenre by inspiring Romero’s NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD.

I still have my PS2, which plays PS1 games just fine.

HA HA! AV Club articles on dowels...

what’s the point?
