I went to this show and we were late and missed GangStarr. I was so bummed until, as I was walking up to grab a beer I ran into one Guru IN LINE! Buying his own beer! Needless to say, there was no way I was letting that happen. Got an autograph and a smile. All I could ever ask for.
I just came here to say “Baby fish mouth”. I’ll let this stand alone.
Wouldn’t be the first time.
Oh, man! I don’t remember this being terribly scary but, BOY it was an event! We got like a dozen pairs of glasses and Slurpees and pizza and popped a whole jar of popcorn and had the whole neighborhood over to watch on our 19" Sony Trinitron. Great memory. They did ‘Creature From The Black Lagoon’ too.
Yeah, you can take that “culture-appropriating” shit back to your fucking safe space.
This is the fucking dumbest part. People disrupt the experience to order food. Food runners are constantly running up and down the aisles delivering food/drinks, or just checking for orders. The whole “crouch down to not obstruct the screen” is fucking distracting. My knees hurt just being in proximity. You know…
Oh, man. I just loved the way he maniacally said, “Men-ARD’S!” RIP indeed.
Great. Now I’m annoyed AND hungry.
Can you believe these guys? Making me play a game on PHYSICAL MEDIA!!!
The fact that I’m 41, have a full-time job, 2 1/2 hours of commute a day and a spouse makes game time rather sparse. Yet, this does not stop me from buying “The Evil Within 2' on sale for $20 and then going back to what I was doing on Resident Evil: Revelations for the hundredth hour.
That Powerstation album has the most amazingly over-the-top, coked out 80's production value I’ve ever heard. Each snare drum hit is overdubbed so much you don’t know where it begins and where it ends. Glorious.
Play some video games; buy some Def Leppard T shirts.
It’s so goddamn good I call it Cinnamon Mouth Rape. In the very best way.
Lessons in dipshitting? I can help.
Booze.
That’s the music I hear in my head at 2 AM, Monday morning before work. Goddammit.
Who hurt you, James?
Algiers was both the best album I heard this year but the best show I saw as well by a mile. These guys are way ahead of the curve.
Google “fans throw batteries” and you get nothing but a slew of Philly stories. I totally thought Oakland or Buffalo might come up too. Nope. All Philly. Nice.
