My Model 3 has upped my monthly electricity bill around $60 from before I bought it. I was spending about $50 a week (this was when has was about $2.50-$3 a gallon) on gas on a 29 MPG vehicle (Q50 Hybrid). Both times averaging about 90-100 miles 5 days a week. I’m central Texas. Yes, there was some overhead with the

Nothing witty to reply here other than this is brilliant. Most lay people don’t understand the importance of proper torque on lug nuts.

My story isn’t particularly interesting, aside from how incredibly idiotic it is. I felt stupid at the time and even more so when I reflect on it. I can only attribute the follwing to being young and dumb at the time:

Bookmarked! Sort of reminds me of a Gawker 2.0, minus the gossipy stuff...which is a good thing.

Man, this post is totally me. One additional and crucial step I take is I bring a magazine and chomp down on that sucker as hard as I can while the needle is in my arm. Yeah I feel like an idiot but it’s better than passing out.

Mine is to win a good sized lotto ($75+ million net). I would build an air-conditioned warehouse about the size of a CVS in the middle of town (for security) and fill with with anything I might ever want to drive. I want to live in my current home even if I win the lotto but need a place to store all my cars.

I wonder if the CVT on this generation hums as loud as the previous? My wife had one and I could hear it when she was driving and I was on the phone with her. Just a constant *WOOooo* every time she’d tap the throttle.

Incredibly interesting! Thank you for doing this. Like the others said, more of this, please!

Happy to still see you around, Hamilton.

This was the only movie I had ever seen in a theater more than once. And I saw it 3 times. Family and work prevent me from seeing it tonight, although I wish I wish I could.

My brother and I were celebrating as if it were our A’s winning the world series.

I think if you were to drive it in reverse everywhere it wouldn’t look half bad.

At this year’s auto show in Austin, my wife and I sat in many SUVs. She’s had her eye on the Explorer Limited and The MDX. For the price, the base model XC90 was gorgeous. It was the nicest SUV there, not including the British ones. We were blown away that it was close to the same price as a spec-out Explorer. Sure,

You know what, I think you are right: the short good hood might be what makes it appear small. Kind of an interesting choice for a truck but probably helps with aerodynamics.

Perhaps I worded my question poorly. When I see it in photos, I see a small truck, like a 90's Toyota pickup, Mazda b-series, etc. Just curious if it is more substantial in stature than I imagine, like a newer Tacoma, Colorado, Dakota, or even the previous generation Ridgeline.

Does it look as small in person as it does in photos? I get a real compact size vibe.

I miss the Legacy GT

The section of toll road in question is largely useless. It doesn’t run from Austin to San Antonio, it runs from rural east of Austin to Seguin, which is a good 20-30 minutes northeast of SA. Traffic on I-35 is rarely bad enough to make people want to drive it. I drove it a couple of times for the novelty of it, but

I lust over every car on this list
