Best part about this story is the wit injected into it by the writer. LOL'd a few times.

ha. I especially loved the ending. Thanks for posting/translating!
Well how about a no TV day then instead of a no books day? The point was that they're singling out one form of escapism over all others.
How annoying. How about a no television day, or a no fictional books day, or a no computers day, or a no escapism of any sort day? Japan is a nation of escapism. The U.S. probably is, too. Video games are escapism. They're treating a symptom, not the problem, and they're also singling out one form of escapism…
How long ago was your teenagerhood? I know what you mean, though. I'm 33, so 20 or so years ago, I used to fiddle around in an old RPG sort of fake thing in Prodigy Chat (Prodigy was sort of like America On-Line, a thing you dialed into in order to access "the internet" (but mostly just their front end with chat…
How sad. Gaming journalism is practically dead. Other than Kotaku and a few others, I guess we will have to look between cracks in the internet to even find it.
Ha. This kind of made my night.
Winston is the only one in any kind of physical shape in my opinion.
Don't be mean. The best thing about this cast, besides the blond lady from SNL (who is great) is that they have a woman in it who is not stick thin. I was scared it was going to be a Charlie's Angels kind of thing. I'm sick of movies with beautiful people. None of the original Ghostbusters were good looking.
These are all great actresses, actually. I was all set to write some disparaging comment.
Yep! Yeah, Divinity: Original Sin is my favorite by far, with turn-based tactical combat. However, Divine Divinity and Beyond Divinity are like really wordy, involved versions of Diablo without any random generators and good, funny writing. Not over the top like Bard's Tale '04 but still pretty good! Just reminded…
Thanks. Yeah, that sounds about right. I still think it sounds more like Dragon Quest than Final Fantasy VII, though!
Down, boy!
Have you played Divine Divinity? That's a good one. A little lower-key as far as the humor, but good writing. It was meant to be a turn-based kind of deeper thing, but it ended up becoming a new version of Diablo basically.
You can import mine from the NES version of Bard's Tale 3.
Awesome acting and writing, but the game itself is kind of lame.
You didn't know this until now! Yeah, pretty exciting.
There is another series of games that are kind of like the Bard's Tale action-RPG. They're called Diablo. (hehehe I'm so funny)
The humor is kind of fun, but yeah, the game itself is sort of not that compelling.
One could assert that Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 were already crappy top-down action games, oh-ho!!
I know what you mean, though. They all became junky Diablo-likes, but that's because Diablo was popular. And BG 1 and 2 had real-time combat because Warcraft 2 was popular.
