Yeah, the whole look me up plot device is good if used sparingly. But often it seems to be brought out when the writers can't think of a way to get out of a situation.

@Sanriostar: I don't think we'll see the end of the big season climaxes any time soon.
@anateworsethandeath: I get what you're saying. But the movie I saw wasn't from someone who tried. It was from someone who gave up.
@presto117: Longer movie, better actors, and a director experienced in making these type of movies.
@Wraithen: "I am the new digital god... oh crap, can some one plug me in please?"
It took me a minute to get the world of solitaire joke. It's like a sneak attack joke. The ninja of webcomic jokes. Either that or I just got up and I'm a little slow right now.
@Arkesane: The first season is a bit weak (the first few episodes especially). But it gets a hell of a lot better near the end of the first season and really picks up near the middle of the second.
@kylecpcs: It would have been 3 hours with those actors. Honestly, I'm glad it so short only so I didn't have to suffer through it.
@janeowyn: Oh he saw it, he just didn't know how to condense it into a feature length movie.
@MsFeasance: Holly crap but Shyamalan is shovelling it in this interview. Just admit you got way over your head and go back to the type of movie you're moderately good at doing.
@cubist_zirconia: It really does boggle the mind. I guess you could argue that they had shit to work with so they gave shit performances. But still, even the most b-list of the b-list actors could have brought some sort of emotional quality or acting ability to these lines.
@Dielan: Wow, you mean more than one movie/TV show has had a hero who journey's and along the way grows as a person?
@Limeade: What bothers me is that he specifically said he picked these actors because they were perfect for the role. I mean, I could excuse his casting choice if that was true; if any of the main leads could have acted there way out of a paper bag. But holy shit, this movie gave Transmorphers a run for its money for…
@anateworsethandeath: I'd agree with you if this was a failure of innovation. I'd love to see a M Night Shaymalan Avatar movie that failed because it was being innovative. Because then we could at least see the movie that's under the debris. But what this movie fails at, is being a movie.
@SqueakyPlatypus: The Doctor needs to wear more hats.
@Avohkah Tamer: Technically it's not a movie, it's a special. And by special I mean, well, I think you know what I mean.
@Foohy: There's no way they're going to do that though. Or at least we'll have to wait a decade or so and then they might decide to go for the nostalgia route. They best we can hope for at the moment is that they replace the director and most of the actors for the second part and pay attention this time.
@SqueakyPlatypus: And a fez. That's definitely becoming part of any future Matt Smith doctor Halloween costume.
The first one is free...
@Definer-not-defined: But even then. Why would you give any director that amount of power on a 280 million dollar movie which you're trying to build a franchise on?
