Yep. It was embarrassing as hell just being told “no, you’re too (insert succinct insult here)” but on some level it’s good to know this is someone you absolutely shouldn’t try and talk to.

Yeah, I know a ton of men who get embarrassed very quickly around dating. Like, even moreso than the author of this piece seems to be by herself. Not sure if this is a case of “well nobody internalizes things as deeply as me” (which I think is a fairly common and normal way to think) or if these men just don’t get…

Not a dude, but the sweeping generalizations in this piece astound me.

As a guy in the dating world I have always appreciated a definite rejection over gentle redirection. I do understand the reasons why ghosting and excuses exist, and I’m sad that women sometimes can’t feel comfortable enough to speak directly. I try to be the change I’d like to see and thank people for honesty.

When it comes to getting sex or attention or a date, men have no threshold for embarrassment.
