This is kind of a good thing because he will be dropping markers along the way to help scientists measure currents.

It’s definitely here too. And it’s not that I don’t like AOC and most of her policies/ideas, my annoyance is more with the shitty “journalists” who all grab the same low-hanging fruit and write sloppy reposts of reposts of reposts on the same few topics/people day in and day out. Would it kill them to do a little

Why is AOC the shiny new thing?  She has a bunch of ideas, but she doesn’t seem to have and real idea of how to implement them.  A decade in the Senate with Bernie has probably given McCaskill respect for people who do rather than talk.

Ocasio-Cortez is still a politician, not the second coming, and she’s just as prone to blunders as any other new member of the House”

Your country is just fucking stupid and a parody of itself at this point. The rest of the world is alternating between laughing at you and realising just how fucking evil you have been to everyone else.

shit mate... you’ve got a massive ocean between yous and the nearest people that really hate you

You’re acting like those employees were separate at any stage the last two years, when the average public sector worker is probably making less than the average US wage.

I often work long hrs that I don’t bill b/c I believe in the mission.

You always were. You just deciding to stop exporting it.

Eh, we were always the evil empire, we just took off our blinders about it.

The fuck you talking about “right at Christmas”?

The earnest passion with which some people defend this movie has me cracking the fuck up 😂

The symbolism seems like just an excuse for poor writing. The symbolism is pretentious and doesn’t make sense, nor matter. This movie was laughibly bad, sorry to say.

But it is trying to be a monster movie. Having a deeper theme doesn’t excuse the filmmakers from executing the plot they chose to go with competently. Making a monster movie that is a metaphor for post partum depression is a really cool idea, but a cool idea still needs a good surface plot

It was especially disappointing since it seems to confirm that movies that start off with unexplained mass suicides, legitimately really creepy, don’t seem capable of following through in the rest of the movie. I’m looking at you, The Happening.

Wish I’d read this before watching. You are so right Rich, it makes no sense.

I worked at the park where the majority of this was filmed. A complete shitshow from start to finish including stuntmen in the hospital with head trauma and a complete disregard for permitting processes and general etiquette. Because of stellar senior leadership hungry for the publicity and LA money, this project was

I liked the book fine but still kept rolling my eyes every few pages. When I heard it was being made into a movie, I was like “Okay, this has good people involved, so maybe they’ll tidy it up.”

As all of the plot holes unfolded, I was still on board because this was “a Sandra Bullock movie!” and had John Malkovich! and that guy from SVU! and it’s sorta like Quiet Place!

Is this just another version of The Happening?
