Well, I’m a dumbass...didn’t even notice the camo Intruder was sharing the deck with an S-3....

Having to laugh at myself...didn’t even notice my bird next to that particular Intruder...obviously not a Vietnam pic...
Jerry, the cammo A-6 is a great and very rare shot. As I was telling EvilFD:
The cammo A-6 is rare. The Navy experimented with it on the Intruder, the Skyhawk and the F-4 but it wasn’t a good choice because the Navy planes were “feet dry” for such a short period and didn’t really gain much of a benefit from camouflage.
You can start working on a strike raptor right now and have it ready by 2035...
Even having seen and touched the plane in person, my brain can’t reconcile the tail shape on this picture.
I think they’re just getting new AESA radars and a modern cockpit (big color MFDs, new mission computers, etc.) so that they can better use that new radar. Haven’t heard anything about new engines.
Wat
Please oh wise one tell us how President ghostmourn would stop the big bad Chinese?
Looks like a good case could be made for carpet bombing here. ;-)
Lets HAARP them up a hurricane.
Thanks for putting them in the open bros!
I never understood the whole “white wall” thing Communist countries use. makes the camo completely usesless.
Well, as soon as China starts forcibly invading their neighbors, and seizing their internationally established, and recognized territory— then we’ll start to focus more on their activities.
Oh look, a SAM sight with a natural kill-zone built in. Wasn’t there an article on here the other day where this would be an ideal use for this:
I am so in love with your picture vomit.
This. Even if it didn’t sink, all the water coming in would disrupt operations.
The 155mm gun on the Zumwalt is already fully automated.
That assumes a broadside impact. I would posit that a CONEMP would use more ballistic trajectories. Let the rounds penetrate topside and, if you’re lucky, exit below the waterline.
IMO, it would depends on where and which part of the ship the railgun hit. If the railgun can precisely hit the bridge of a ship, it would literally take out the ability to navigate a ship. If it hits the ammunition storage, it would cause explosion and fire. However, my guess will be the railguns will fire…
